The Shorehambysea.com Team
Well what can we say? Its been over a 4 years now since our fateful conversation in the Red Lion wondering how we can put all of the information regarding Shoreham-by-Sea in one easy to access website.
The Team has changed over the years with several people moving away from Shoreham-by-Sea to pastures greener (is it possible I hear you ask!) however the main protagonist Pete Farrington is still hanging in there, working on the site in his spare time as a hobby as well as working in London on a full time basis and raising a family. Pete also runs a small web-design and search engine optimisation company called Micronet IT Ltd , using skills learned while building Shorehambysea.com. Pete has created numerous websites for local Shoreham by sea businesses as well as those a little further afield - check out his Dominican Repulbic Travel Information website as well as his Dominican Republic Excursions website. Pete would not be able to keep up this rather hectic pace without the fantastic help of some VERY remarkable people who deserve a mention......
Paul Osborne doesn't even live in Shoreham however he's been such an incredible help moderating the successful message boards that he now runs them virtually single-handed. So if anyone sees Paul in Shoreham-by-Sea (yes, he does travel down occasionally), then buy him a drink or two as hes a total life-saver. Many thanks Paul !
JC (preferred avatar name in the Shoreham-by-Sea Forums ) has taken over control of the Shoreham-by-Sea Event Calendar in recent months and has been doing a truly fantastic job, hunting down all those superb events that make Shoreham by Sea a vibrant place to live. Many thanks JC for volunteering to help out - I just wish there were more people like yourself out there!
Roger Bateman is a very welcome addition to the team, who, alongside Paul Osborne, have pieced together the extremely exciting Shoreham-by-Sea History Portal. The Portal has a vast array of articles, directories, a massive photo collection and personla annecdotes of a time gone by. Check out the Shoreham-by-Sea History Portal, we're sure you'll have a fascinating visit.
The People of Shoreham have really got behind the site over the last few years and we've now topped over 2,000,000 visitors in only 4 short years - a truly remarkable feat considering that Shorehambysea.com is a hobby and simply a way of giving something back to the community of Shoreham-by-Sea. We would always encourage anyone who would like to get involved in the website to contact us via our This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We are desperate for writers of articles, photograhers etc, etc etc. We really do want to make Shorehambysea.com a fantastic website that promotes our wonderful town to the world - but we need your help to do it.
