The "Sov" is a genuine favourite of the Shorehambysea.com Team and you'll find us in there most Thursdays :-). Small but perfectly formed, as they, say, the Sov offers a relaxing, informal atmosphere with roaring fires in the winter months. You must try out the Thai Curry nights (speciality of the house) and say hello to Mark, one of the friendliest landlords on the planet.
Tried this place for the first time this week. Very friendly. Couldn't believe fully booked even though got there at 600pm! Staff kindly offered us a table until the people who had booked it arrived. Had the spring rolls and pad thai to follow. Very good and will definitely go back.
The Sov has become a regular haunt as not only is it great for a pint but the Thai food is superb - they'll even do it as a take away if you ask nicely !
We visited the pub after the farmers market. The place was buzzing and it certainly had the Christmas spirit. I had have not been in there for a long time but the landlord showed me recognition and gave me a great welcome. We had a really good snack and will definitely go back for a meal.
Fast becoming a vey favourite haunt in Shoreham. After experiencing nearly all of the pubs in Shoreham, the "Sov" is an exceptional place to drink and socialise. Great staff, superb range of beer (and wine...) and an atmosphere that is chilled, without being pretentious. Simply love the place
I've really grown to love the place over the last couple of months. Vibrant atmosphere, exceedingly friendly staff (Mark & Sarah ?) and a great pint - what more could you ask for?
