The Marlipins Hot

I love the quaintness of the Marlipins pub, it really is like sitting in your comfortable front room with your friends enjoying a drink and a chat. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
My only slight critissm is that its relatively quiet on most nights, so the social side of the pubs is not ideal. It is easy ot get a great seat though!

Always been a fan of the 'pins but sadly most recent visit left me thinking why.

I don't expect at 13:40 on a Friday lunch time when ordering food to be greeted with a audible 'tuh' from the bar staff and a bellowed "can you do a ...." to the kitchen followed by a "suppose so" If you advertise food from 12-2 then expect orders in that window.

The food presented was very disappointing. Ham, Eggs and chips - how simple can you get! Well at £8.50 is grossly over priced and when presented as dry tough ham , two barely cooked eggs and a small handful of luke warm chips and that was it.

Not acceptable not value for money not good enough!

Marlipins - expected better and I am sure you can do a lot better.

Ray and Athony certainly make you feel welcome. A small, quaint pub, with a very relaxed atmospehere - great if you you want to talk with friends and simply have a great evening.

Lovely food during the day too - well worth a visit!

W're only lived in Shoreham for 10 years and have tried most of the pubs in the town, but its "the Pins" that offered me exactly what I want in a local pub - great people, great beer and a superb local atmosphere.

Its probably not for everyone, as its small and kind of quaint, but I simply love the place.
