The Bridge Inn, situated opposite the Ropetackle Centre at the end of the High Street, is famous for three things; The food, The Beer and the outside seating area overlooking the River Adur. Equally great in both the summer and the winter, but we prefer the summer, sitting out back with a cold one watching the river ebb and flow while tucking into ham, egg and chips. What more could a Shorehamite want in this life?

Highly Recommended

If you're out for a quick pint or fancy going for a pub lunch/dinner then The Bridge is recommended. I have been going here since I was 17 Ahem! Since it was taken over, a while ago now by the new landlord and lady it has gone from strength to strength, both are very lively communicative people who appear to genuinely enjoy running a pub. The food is of a very high standard for a pub, and this is proven by how busy it is for dinner sittings towards the tail end of the week. Drinks are reasonably priced for Shoreham, though not exceptional, I would like some traditional cider on the go, but appreciate the restrictions that a brewery place on an establishment.

If you fancy going for anything from a quick pint to a full blown meal, to a quick round of pool then I fully recommend checking out The Bridge, you're bound to get a genuinely friendly welcome from the staff, and a good quality pint and meal.

How a pub should be run

This is how a pub should be run. The landlady and staff all take pride in what they do and provide the best service I have ever experienced in a pub. The food is good and always cooked with fresh ingredients. Would be nice to have a greater selection of beers but you can't have everything.

The plaice for good food and drink in Shoreham

Highly recommend the beer battered fish. Best fish and chips we have ever enjoyed.

Went back for Sunday roast again scrumptious. Highly recommend the merlot.

Great staff very friendly and not in your space asking if every thing is OK every five minutes.

Fab landlady and chef.

This is our new local and worth the 20 minute walk any day.
