Teddys in East Street, Shoreham by Sea, has got to be one of the best places in the whole of Sussex to get that fat slice of chocolate cake, fresh sandwiches and large bowls of tea or coffee. Ideal for a stop on a cold winters or autumn days, but equally fantastic sitting outside in summer watching the hustle and bustle of East Street. One of our personal favourites in Shoreham-by-Sea.
I felt compelled to write this review having read the one left by "grumpy". I honestly think he has the wrong place! I moved the Shoreham a few months ago and Teddys has quickly become a favourite of mine, and my family when they visit. The food tastes fresh and delicious. Cakes amazing, huge choice. Out door seating even in winter, offered with rugs to keep warm! Staff always friendly and it's often hard to find a seat - obviously a favourite with lots of others too. Could highly recommend the eggy bread with bacon and maple syrup!
Given lack of choice for a coffee on a Sunday morning, decided to give Teddy's one last chance. Wish I hadn't bothered!
Coffee was disgusting.....was that evap milk they used ????
Far better coffee to be had elsewhere (like next door) !!!
If sitting outside, others have far better tables and chairs.
Recommend for mums with prams , cake addicts, people who don't care about quality of coffee
As a family we held a babies naming day. Teddys supplied the main cakes and some small individual cakes and we also hired a beautiful cake stand. There was a muddle up with the order and the lady came in especially to cook the cake on a Sunday. Great service. After the baby, the beautiful cakes were the talk of the day.
