Bungalow Town Snippets from the 1938 Town Guide
« on: September 08, 2017, 03:18:58 pm »
Snippets collected from the 1938 town Guide include various BT advertisements and a write-up giving Shoreham’s best known oyster merchant Sam Maple credit for pioneering BT with ex. Naval men Tom Lee and John Liddiford (he built ‘Sea Spray’ in 1893) as the first permanent residents. There is a rare view of the rear of Tipperary bungalow and another photo of three mysterious square ‘huts’ on the beach also invites suggestions as to their possible use  http://www.shorehambysea.com/snippets-1938-town-guide/
