I am tracing my family tree and have just found out that Martha Parsons daughter of John Parsons and Ann Bawcomb born 1753 from New Shoreham married Thomas Hogsflesh on 7th July 1785 before moving to Broadwater Worthing. Does anyone have any information on the Hogsflesh or Parsons please.

It looks like youíve checked the Hogsflesh and Parsons entries in our New Shoreham parish records Sarah and whilst the name Parsons crops up often in our newspaper cuttings http://www.shorehambysea.com/newspapers/ they relate mainly to the 1800ís Iím afraid.

Not of much help, but just confused. If you look under 'Census, Directories' and then 'New Shoreham Baptisms' it shows for Martha Parsons born 1753 the father as John Parsons but the mother as Sarah not Ann!! Sorry if this makes your search more difficult.
