Widewater and the High Path
« on: October 24, 2018, 12:59:50 pm »
Started this a number of years ago and only now have got round to finishing it. Not sure how effective it is as I think you really need to have read Ted Walker’s book ‘The High Path’ first. At least it brings together as many period photos from our collections as I could find of the area and hope it gives some enjoyment.

The video is superb with a kind of sad nostalgia. Would like a little mor information with some of the slides such as looking south or north as I am not confident of all the exact locations.

Hi Minboro , most of the images are looking east towards Shoreham except the ones at Shopsdam of course, Golden Sands and the ones across Widewater which are looking south. At the end of Widewater before the bridge at Shoreham, the view also looks south.
