There was talk of a Tower Block which would have afforded some lovely views of the River and Countryside.

Not sure if this had been posted before but one of the most successful humanoids was the 'General purpose and Towing robot'....the automatic valve project did not get beyond the drawing board stage.

It was the time when several people that were having trouble selling their houses  decided to start a lottery for them as a first prize....I wondered if our council might do this ?

During one hot Summer there were discussions on how to keep cool and the cost of running var. air conditioning units ....it could also apply now after the Bank of Englands report on 'apres brexit' !

Many had received information about local flooding from the Environment Agency with a plastic bag enclosed for holding documents with  the opportunity to request 'phoned flood warnings for ones locality. Seeing as I lived in an area that was 50metres above sea level with a once in 1000 year flood risk I declined the offer.
Shortly after the combination of spring tides SWly gales and a 'supermoon' caused a lot of flooding especially along the Brighton Road this was a subject that was discussed.

The team, some time back, decide to design a humanoid to be able to assist the Fire Brigade in their routine duties of rescuing pussy cats from trees and releasing young boys heads stuck in railings. Its duty was to patrol the streets and reduce the fire hazard of discarded smouldering cigarette ends. Since the introduction of 'Vap' units and the decline of smoking its secondary purpose of hosing down areas of dog fouling is now mostly utilised.

I think that this was prompted by an increase in the fuel tax that added cost to a pre Christmas 'booze cruise' over to France.

Many were expressing boredom about the side entertainments at the Airshow....the annual Home Guard routine was losing its appeal so suggestions were sought on how to liven it up a bit....I thought that a local celebrity could hire a Pegasus and do a few passes round the airfield,it could equal the exposure gained from a Saturday market.

Its less than three weeks now before the big day. The local Christmas Tree has been installed in the East Street pecinct ( sans lights !). and I thought that a few others may be considered  to cover up local eyesores during the festive season
