Shoreham Beach resident Jack the Lad immortalised Bob (from Bob's shop in Ferry Road) this morning on Southern FM (soon to be Heart - why?) by telling Sussex how he's been calling him Bill for the last year and a half! The team were discussing Britney's gaffe in saying "how you doing London?" when on stage in Manchester and went on to share their own most embarrassing moments. Anyone who knows Bob, will know he wouldn't have minded and probably found it quite funny! |

 From 10am to 3pm on Wednesday 1st July, our Southwick club will be inviting the 50+ members of our community to come and try a variety of activities, ranging from light exercise to something a little more strenuous. It’s also the ideal place to meet new people and, above all, enjoy yourself!
Activities will include: • Badminton • Short Mat Bowls • Table-Tennis • Indoor Curling • Tennis • Short Tennis • Keep-Fit • Gym Sessions
There’ll also be free health & beauty treatments and instructors will be on hand to provide support and advice if required. We’ll even include the coffee and cake!  The Adur East Lions are holding their Donkey Derby and Fun Day at Buckingham Park in Shoreham again this year. It will be on the 21st June, this coming Sunday from noon to 6pm. If you visit, as well as all the other attractions, you will have the opportunity to bid for one of five unique mosaic mirrors made by Denise of Somosaic. “It is difficult to decide on a fair price for these unusual one off pieces,” says Denise “and I came up with the idea of holding an auction at a big local event so that potential customers can decide what they would be willing to pay”. The reserve price is very low and the winner of each mirror will be the person who has placed the highest bit by 6pm on Sunday. To see photos of the mirrors to be auctioned, just have a look at the web site at www.somosaic.co.uk. If you cannot attend the event on Sunday, you can email your bid or, if none of these mirrors would fit in your home, you could always commission one to be tailor made to your exact requirements!
