The Names and Addresses of Residents and Businesses in Shoreham and Bungalow Town.
This 1925 Pike's Directory covered the Brighton and Hove District which included nearby towns and the Shoreham section of it is shown here - Shoreham town is shown first then Bungalow Town. Residents and occupiers are shown alphabetically by surname making searching for individuals an easy task.
By 1925 the house numbering for most of Shoreham's streets had already been reorganised and renumbered into the more logical and consistent system we have today. However, it should be borne in mind that places such as Victoria Road were still being significantly developed which led to a complete renumbering exercise resulting in present day numbers that are different to those shown in this directory.
Old directories such as these are of course still available for purchase second hand and microfilm copies can be accessed at local libraries. For shorehambysea.com members and visitors to our web site however these pages provide an opportunity to browse here for predecessors, town officials, harbour dues, organisations, bygone shops and businesses etc.,
