Although it does have a chain feel about the place, and is always a little too quiet, I actually like the place, and kids love it! They will do childs portions of any pasta dish, and the house red wine is excellent value and quite good (a Montepulciano if my memory serves me well). Deserves to be more popular than it appears to be.

A loovely friendly place to have a relaxing glass of wine and a bite to eat, or a chat over a pint. An excellent range of wines, most served by the glass. Morretti, Amstel, Export Hieneken, and Harvey's on draought, as well as a bott range of bottled beers and ciders. Good, great value food, and super friendly staff complete the mix. Live Music on a Tuesday evening, and a chilled out blues/jazz on the last Sunday of the month. Definately worth a visit!

As a carvery style pub, fine for a quick bite to eat if you can't be bothered to do the washing up, and probably appeals to a younger crowd out for a bit of a session, but I really can't imagine spending any time in here, and definately not a 'local'.
