The Allens of Shoreham
Written by Susan Andrews
Does anyone have any information on the Allen family? My mother (Emma Jane Molden, nee Allen) was possibly the last of the Allens to be born in Shoreham (in 1913) and I'd love to know more about the family history.
My father always told me that the Allens had lived in Shoreham for as long as the town existed.  Family legend states that the Allens were involved in smuggling Charles II to France and that he set sail from Allen's Gap (now Star Gap), next to Coronation Green.

Keys Found on Shoreham Beach
Written by Laura Raymond
A bunch of keys have been found on Shoreham beach by the Beach Huts at Beach Green during low tide. This was about a week ago. There is an Arsenal key ring and house keys - but a mans silver ring with a dragon on may be special to someone and not replaceable like keys are - if they are yours contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

New Shoreham-by-Sea Policing Forum
Written by Shoreham1

Many thanks to Spinalman and Sgt Verity Lockhart from the Adur Neighbourhood Specialist Team for setting up a new "Shoreham Policing Forum", where members can raise thoughts and concerns about Shoreham-by-Sea. Sgt Verity then answers your questions and raises awareness of any particular concerns - a superb way of getting your policing ideas across to the people who make it happen!. Please click on the link to visit the Shoreham-by-Sea Policing Forum

Shoreham Neighbourhood Managment Forum
Written by PCSO Rosemary Hill 26681

My area is Shoreham town Centre, including Ropetackle and along as far as the Lighthouse. I am currently looking for more members to be a part of the forum to meet bi-monthly.   The idea being that the forum will nominate the top 3 priority community problems.   These problems I will take away with me from the meeting, and endeavour to solve same.
Our first meeting was 29 July at the Yacht Club, our second will be Tuesday 30 September 08. I am looking to increase our membership so anyone interested please contact me 0845 60 70 999 Ext. 26681. Members will include a cross section i.e businesses, residents, community groups, resident association representatives, youth club workers etc.
Best regards,
PCSO Rosemary Hill 26681
