According to Twitter, BDB has pulled out of the gig on 18th August.
Just in case anyone here has tickets.
Maybe he got a better offer!

Google shows hes been swearing at the audience in the USA when they showed they were not impressed by his music, it appears several concerts have ended up the same.
May be hes pulled out to get his head straight?

What a shame. First album was amazing, soundtrack to About A Boy was even better.

Why must some of these modern 'entertainers' have to resort to swearing and 'Lavatory Jokes'...to me it indicates a lack of talent by having to revert to Kindergarten playground humour where the toddlers often get a kick out of saying naughty words to each other.
Unfortunatly IMO there is a dearth of real comedians these days, some of the current BBC sitcom offerings on channel 4 by private producers are pathetic.

I know what you mean, but some of today's best, funniest, and most intelligent comedians can also be a bit sweary. Tim Minchin being the example I happened to be listening to in the car today, but there are several others.

That explains why I couldn't see the gig on the Ropetackle events list.
But does not explain why Ropetackle would disappear the listing and alter history, rather than updating the event to say cancelled.
You guys know that he is a singer, who tends to talk a lot to the audience and not a comedian ?
But staying in the slightly ot theme, I saw the Josh Widdicombe & Seann Walsh Edinburgh Preview Show at the Ropetackle and so much of the swearing just had no context at all and was just annoying rather than offensive -
"Oh look I am really angry about a topic and just so that you know I am, I will use the C word".
