Hi Folks, glad to see the site up and running again. What news of the disruption? Have we lost any data?

Anything we can do to help? Posted Image

Must have had a busy weekend. All the effort is appreciated.

No loss of data as far as we can tell and things are "somewhat" back to normal. If you do see anything amiss please mail me directly on pete@shorehambysea.com and I'll look into it.
Thanks for your patience :-)
Regards,
Pete

I too appreciate it. I didn't realise how addicted I was to the site, with all the snippets of Town News, chatter and history ( and humour) until the site went down. A friend said I ought to get a life !!

Site seems to be up and down a lot, since being 'mended'. Often seems to be down for 10-20 minutes, and then suddenly appears again.

I thought it was just me, but others are complaining on Facebook and Twitter.

Does someone/something keep rebooting the server?

Perhaps it's something we're having to live with for the time being - Pete will be looking for a new host but is abroad for a while and Paul is recovering from an op.

Dunno if this will help Pete but:

- When the site appears to be down, the server is still responding. I can still get to http://95.154.219.110/. But there's no response from the SBS site. It accepts the HTTP GET request but just sits there.

- Just before it eventually comes back, it starts responding again, but gives this error:

Attached File  sbs.jpg (71.52K)
Number of downloads: 8

Hope that helps to narrow things down.
