Sometimes when I try to start a new topic (just happened in the Town News forum) when I hit "post" I just get chucked back to the front page, and my message vanishes.

Anyone else seen this?

I wonder if it's related to message content. I was just trying to post a link to a news story about someone in Downside being charged with nasty stuff.

Looks like it was the URL.

I changed it to a tinyURL and it posted fine.

Perhaps we could have an error message on stuff like this, rather than just dumping back to the front page.

And maybe posts from non-newbies users could be filtered a bit less stringently?
