This forum will help keep you up to date with what's happening at the old fort and we will be posting news soon.
In the meantime, we are on a short deadline to get as many votes as possible on the natwest community force funding competition.
Basically the group with the most votes wins £6000 for there project.
To read more about our project and vote please follow this link

This money could replace our stolen generators and do so much for the site.
It will also increase morale for our volunteers after, what has been a bit of a rollercoaster year with such highs and then the demoralising vandelism.
Please take a short moment of your time to vote.
Thank you
Gary Baines

There will be tea and coffee (and possibly cake too) available and the weather is going to be beautiful so what more do you need on a relaxing Sunday than sitting in the sunshine with a cuppa whilst supporting your local historic site?
I can even guarantee a sea view too
See you down there.

We are in first place in our area but only by 3 votes.
We have to stay first to guaranty the £6000
Your vote really could make all the difference so if you have not voted please please vote. If you have already voted then thank you so much and please ask your friends and family to do the same.

OK going do it despite demanding 'too much information' and will probably now be subjected to receiving loads of spam mail from said bank Natwest! Surely their ulterior motive is viable contacts? I mean who ever heard of a bank giving you something for nothing?
Six K in banking parlance.....chicken s**t..... but most welcome for the Fort restoration endevour.

Unfortunately today we have been overtaken by another project in Brighton. Up until now we have been top of the leader board.
I urge you if you havn't yet had a chance to vote for the fantastic Shoreham Fort, a part of our cultural heritage and a site, we in Shoreham should be so proud of (not sure if you have ever had a chance to visit Littlehampton Fort, but if so you will know how very lucky we are in Shoreham to have a Fort that is so accessible).
The Friends of Shoreham Fort volunteers are working tirelessly, much of it behind the scenes as well as at the site itself, to maintain and restore this for us and future generations and the £6000 Natwest Community Force Fund will go such a long way to help with this.
So if you have an email address, internet and/or phone please do vote. As I said there is only 3 days left and so much hard work has gone into it to try to stay top that it would be a massive shame to lose it all at the final hurdle.
Shoreham is such a strong community and one that I am proud to be part of, so lets show everyone hows it done and lets get behind this.

Thank you so much.
The next Volunteer Day at Shoreham Fort is 30th October 11-5. So pop down, even if you only want to see how its all going or have a look a around and chat to the volunteers down there. Or if you fancy rolling your sleeves up then you are more than welcome. I will be there serving tea and coffee so feel free to pop down for a cuppa.

I am not sure that works Paul. I could only vote for different projects. However, other members of your family can use a different email address to register and then vote. I think there will be some flurry of votes for other projects near the deadline tomorrow.

Half an hour to go. That last minute push may have done it. Vote now or it'll be all over
Hi spinalman
The deadline has been extended to midday tomorrow!!!
Apparently natwest cocked up and gave out two dates so they have to go with the latest one which is Monday 24th at midday

I doubt it but banks can charge for almost anything nowadays.
We are now just 15 votes away from 400 let's see if we can get there before it closes
