Thanks Guys, most appreciated. Theres still LOADS to do, but we'll get there eventually. If either of you (or everyone) would like to play" with the new site and let me know if you spot anything wierd or not working, it would be most appreciated - these old eyes can't spot everything :-)
We haven't, as yet, linked the forum login to the Joomla login, this will be completed (hopefully!!) over the weekend. This will allow anyone logging in to upload photos, news, articles, video, add a review, etc, etc ,etc on the main Joomla site.
We are also doing a review of missing content, eg general information pages on Shoreham, so if you spot any missing information (or would be prepared to write it !) please let me know.
All answers on a postcard please to pete@shorehambysea.com
Cheers,

Hi Pete,

this is the home page that I get. A lovely hue of blue but I suspect I should see more.

My browser is Mozilla Firefox is 3.6.12 running in a Linux distro, Ubuntu 10.04.

Looks very good and many thanks.

Nope. Still just get the active picture header with a big blue box below with Shoreham History in the top left, as my attached image earlier.

Smilies don't work now for me either.

Do other modern websites work OK?

Sounds like you might have Javascript turned off, perhaps.

All other sites appear to operate normally.

(smilies back on!)

The only tab along the top that works is the forum tab. All the other tabs drop down but do not load any data.

Just checked Mrs Crypto's Vista laptop, no problem. She's running Mozilla Firefox 3.6.12 Mozilla/5.0 Windows.

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit with Mozilla Firefox 3.6.12 for Ubuntu 1.0.

I wonder if the 64 bit OS is the problem?

I'm running 64 bit Windows, and the site is fine using IE, Chrome and Firefox.

OK, just tried a different Linux web browser (Konqueror) and the site appears to load perfectly.

Therefore the problem appears to lie with the Linux version of Mozilla Firefox 3.6.12 not my 64 bit Linux OS.

I'll dig deeper in to Firefox. Strange that the same version number works OK in Windows Vista (spit!)
