Is it just me (or the location of our house, just up the hill), or is the building work currently going on REALLY BLOODY NOISY?

I thought I'd work at home today, to get some peace and quiet, but it isn't happening...

You are quite right Paul, the noise is just awful. I pitty the people whose bungalows and houses back on to the ground where they are working. Even being quite down the road the noise can be heard from here, especially if we are in the garden. At one time it sounded like a giant cement mixer churning from early morning till late afternoon.
