We have a single en suite room and no money so we thought we should try taking in students. We did it some years back but there was alot of picking up and dropping off and stuff - are they all like that? I did hear that there may be an option for executive students if it is a decent room on offer? any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks

Dibs

Try contacting the International Departments at the local FE Colleges, they're always looking for accomodation for post grad foreign students. Northbrook, Chichester and Sussex Downs all have International provision so worth a call

my parents are elderly and have students. They only get the mature ones who are here on short courses for work etc. Half the time you dont even know they are there. No trouble, no running about, dont even pick them up when they arrive, theyre sent in a taxi, and they spend most of the time studying in their room at night, as theyre funding the course themselves. Ill try and find out who they go through.

You could always give Jackie Verrall a call. She runs Englishlanguagehomestays.co.uk and is always looking for "host families" for students. I'm not sure what age etc, but it may be worth a call. Jackies number is 01273 595900 and even if she can't help you, she may be able to suggest other contacts.
Cheers,
Pete
