Italian and Pizzeria Restaurant in Central Shoreham
We used to go quite a lot when it first opened, but the pasta dishes have become very bland, the pizza's however are still great. The one thing that tops it all is the bad mannered staff, some waiters are very rude which kills the evening. The management want to address the waiter attitude ASAP. Unfortunately we wont be going back until we hear that things have change.
A couple of us went for dinner a few weeks ago. We had to move twice because of the loud music at lunchtime and the service was poor.
Tried Brio a couple of times, underwhelmed the first time, horrified the second. While the food is at best mediocre, the staff were shocking. Throughout our meal the service had not been good and then we were presented the bill with service charge included - I asked for this to be removed on the basis that the service had been so poor. The waiter tried to claim the service was added because there was live music, he simply would not listen to my explanation that I wasn't paying for poor service and that his colleague had been very difficult to get hold of all evening. Basically he wasn't interested and was rude to us as we left. Nice.
To reiterate though, really poor food.
I've been here 6 time now so here we go:
First time I went, after it newly opened I wasn't that impressed. I went back again in June 2009 and WOW how it has changed.
The steak I ordered was SUPERB ! They will get the beer in you like (Just ask!)
I have been back several time and:
The vodka salmon pasta is AMAZING. The fresh fish has been superb. I went again last week and the live Jazz was brilliant and the place was packed mid-week.Great for kids as well.
Walter the manager is very welcoming (big change from when it first opened) Well worth a visit - but book as its busy !
Went to Brio on Valentines night. Meal was excellent, staff really friendly and the decoration for the eveniny was classy. Will be going back soon.
