Beach Dreams Sand Dance Returns!!! PDF Print E-mail

Beach Dreams are bringing the Sand Dance back to the beach this summer. It will be held on Thursday 30th August between 6pm and 9pm on the sand opposite beach green. Please bring your own drink and the Beach Dreams Cafe will be selling delicious chilli and salsa dip. There will be live music by the brilliant Richard Durrant plus a DJ playing all things salsa. Come dressed in red to dance the night away and to celebrate our great life on the beach.

Kevin Roscoe sent in the following request: "My father-in-law passed away on Sunday and as we now sort through his possesions we have come upon several letters he recieved from a girl in your town whose name was Marie L Garner and would have been born around 1921-22. Her address was 16 Roselyn Road in Shoreham-by-Sea. The letters talk of life on the coast during bombing raids and life differences between England and the U.S. in 1940.
If Marie is still around or any of her family, or for that matter, if your town archives would be interested we could send copies via email. It seems a waste to not share this wee bit of history if possible."
