The next Saroo Street Children Appeal fundraiser is a book sale at the Beach Dreams Cafe coffee morning on Saturday 17th February FROM 10.00am to 2.00pm at The Church of The Good Shepherd Church Hall.
The usual stunning array fo homemade goodies will be available as well as a fantastic choice of both brand new and second hand books for your to purchase - all books even the brand new ones have been donated and all money raised will be divided between Beach Dreams cafe and the Street children fund. So, come along and browse and have tea and cakes or lunch for 2 great causes. If you would like to donate any new or second hand books please email Laura on

Shoreham Angling Squad, whose aim is to keep the West Arm of the harbour clean and fisherman friendly, held their first competition on Sunday 7th January in appalling conditions. 15 brave, hardy and possibly downright stupid members of the newly formed club began their quest in a force 6 South Westerly, but half an hour in, the wind had gone round to the South and 3 hours before the high tide, waves were already crashing over the arm showering the poor soles. |

Well we're pleased to announce the winners of the Shoreham-by-Sea reviews for 2006, reviewed by residents of Shoreham-by-Sea and beyond are...
- The best Shoreham-by-Sea pub in 2006 is again The Waterside (as in 2005) with an average score of 8.8.
- The best Shoreham-by-Sea restaurant in 2006 is again La Gallaria (as in 2004 and 2005!) with an average score of 7.5
- The best Shoreham-by-Sea take-away, a new section for 2006, is Tasty with a perfect score of 10
- The best Shoreham-by-Sea accommodation, another new section in 2006, is Rutland House with an average score of 9.9
