Well what can I say about The Marlipins, Its a very friendly place to be. It is a great traditional pub which serves a wide selection of both real ales and lagers and of course an assortment of wines and spirits of which 'House Doubles' are available. It is also probably the best value place in Shoreham for food with daily specials and a menu to choose from.

I was extremely pleased to see that the Pins has changed hands (again!) and that the new owners seem to be taking the place back to its roots and providing the type of welcome that the Pins used to be famous for (the Ray & Jackie days, I'm sure everyone remembers them).
I for one wish them luck as they've realised that the place would be closed in a matter of weeks if it had carried no the way it was going. The very best of luck to them!

We used to eat lunch frequently at the Marlipins but the new system of ordering at the bar means we have to inhale too much smoke. We may come back after July when I presume the pub goes smoke free

Hills and Simon have made a great start to their stewardship of the Marlipins. This is one of the oldest and best known pubs in Shoreham and I have every confidence that given a fair chance by the Shoreham grumblers it will once again prove to be one of the most popular. The atmosphere is unique, the beer well cared for and the welcome honest.
