I have always loved this place but it is so much better now the smoking ban is in force. It does depend on what time and what day you visit as sometimes it can be very quiet and other times it can be really busy with a much younger crowd. I always drink their cider and my hubbie loves their real ale and it is always top quality.

Dont even bother, it looks horrid from the outside and inside is miserable and boring. Its just a beer heads paradise with nothing else to offer than dirty, B/O smelling old men who get rat faced. Eeeeewwwww!!!!1

If you like Real Ale, then go. If you don't, then don't bother. Bit dark and dingy for my tastes but then again I've grown out of the "goatie Beards" and "CAMRA" era along time ago.
