Well what can we say? Its been over a 2 years now since our fateful conversation in the Red Lion wondering how we can put all of the information regarding Shoreham-by-Sea in one easy to access website.
The Team (sadly) has gone on to bigger and better things over this past year however the main protagonist Pete Farrington is still hanging in there, working on the site in his spare time as a hobby as well as working in London on a full time basis and raising a family. Pete also has created OurVillageShop.co.uk, where anyone can sell their products on the Net and TheRealplanet.com, a one-stop shop for worldwide flights, hotels and car hire. Pete would not be able to keep up this hectic pace without the fantastic help of some VERY remarkable people who deserve a mention......
Louisa Cook the local photographer has kindly donated alot of excellent photos which shes allowed us to use on the site. These photos create the essence of Shoreham and really helped us create the look we wanted for the site. See more of Louisas work by clicking here.
James George from PG Creations has started to help create the next version of shorehambysea.com, one that is compatible with all browsers, including Apple Macs, which sadly weren't included in the last version. James has put alot of time and effort into the site and should be congratulated for his skill, advise and knowledge.
Paul Osborne doesn't even live in Shoreham however hes been an incredible help moderating the successful message boards - again the time saved by Paul has been wonderful - many thanks !!!
Steve Coppard the author of "Two Clots and a Camper" has been a source of inspiration over the last year and his Travel Bites are a constant pleasure to read - your a star Steve !
The People of Shoreham have really got behind the site over the last 2 years and with over 100,000 hits we're reaching our goal of connecting with as many townfolk as possible. The photos sent in, the emails received, the posts of the message boards, the events added to the calendar, the articles sent in, etc, etc is what the site is all about - many, many thanks !!!
And heres to next few years !!!!
