I am searching for any information on my Great Grandparents George Albert Wells born 1871 and Rebecca Moody (nee Coleman) born 1872 both in Shoreham. They lived at Rose Cottage, 5 Hebe Terrace although did move into Brighton for a while but later returned to Hebe Terrace. George was a foreman at the gas works and came from a long line of blacksmiths. They had 2 children, Doris and Douglas. My father has fond memories of staying with George.
Rebecca is thought to have died after falling down stairs but I have been unable to find a death certificate. Does Rose cottage still exist? Does anyone remember the gas works?
