Over 250,000 tonnes of wood from the stricken "Ice Prince" has, after a week, landed on the beach of Sussex and Shoreham. From as far as Littlehampton all the way to Brighton the beaches are piled high with planks of rough timber. The police and coastguard are out in force reminding everyone that this wood is not for salvage and will be cleared by a Worthing based salvage Company in due course. Police are stationed at the exit to the beach searching vehicles for "stolen wood". For those who haven't made it down to the beach yet click the link to see a few photos: Shoreham Beach Wood Pile
