I was in shoreham several times. The first time when I was 5 - and that was in 1968! I went there with some friends from my parents by car. We passed by Germany and Netherlands. We visited the daughter of my friends in Shoreham, called Gitta Wheele. She was born in Austria, went with her brother to the U.K. Her brother lives in London. She was married to Vic Wheele. Next time I came that was about 10 years later. I spent my holidays with their sons. It was Tim Wheele, who took me to the discos and parties. That was in the 70ies (the time of John Travolta, disco fever, etc.).

So I met Jennifer Anne Davis and some other friends of Tim. We went out together and had a lot of fun during this summer (I think it was 1978?) His father had a motor boat and an old plane at Shoreham Airport. But the plane didn't fly and so I never flew over Shoreham. I also remember the old cemetary in Shoreham and we could already buy some chinese fast food.

 I will never forget this summer. That is nearly 30 years ago! I never was there again and I think that a lot must have changed. I think it will take some time that I will see Shoreham once again, because travelling to U.K. from Austria is very expensive. But Austria, my homeland, is also a very nice land. We have very high mountains in the Alps and beautiful lakes. We have snow in winter and sometimes very hot summers the last years (especially in the east of Austria).
I like English people because the have a very good sense of humor!
