BBC Southern Counties Radio's Neil Pringle presents a live radio drama of 5 episodes inspired by real life stories of local young people who’ve experienced life living on the edge. Legsy Gets a Break is performed by professional actors from Company Paradiso and written by Casualty and The Bill writer, Philip Gladwin. Shoreham based theatre company Company Paradiso has been funded by the Arts Council to work with teenagers involved with Youth Offending Services in Brighton and Hove and Youth Services in Lancing and Shoreham.
Jon Potter, Director of Company Paradiso, says "This slice of life drama will go beyond what most audiences believe can be possible for someone who is still only 17". The performance includes a chance to talk to Legsy and the other characters in role after each of the episodes and will be staged at The Ropetackle Centre, Shoreham on Friday 21st September 7.30pm, with the evening’s production on air on BBC Southern Counties Radio at the beginning of October.
